CHANNAY KI DAAL KA HALWA

INGREDIENTS
- DOODH
- 2 CUPS MILK
- CHANNAY KI DAAL
- 250 GRAMS SPLIT BENGAL GRAM (SOAKED FOR 2 HOURS) BOIL UNTIL TENDER
- 1½ CUP GHEE(CLARIFIED BUTTER)
- 7 HARI ILAICHI(GREEN CARDAMOM)
- DAAL MIXTURE
- CHEENI
- 1 CUP SUGAR (STIR OCASSIONALY ON LOW FLAME FOR 2 HOURS, COOK UNTIL IT LEAVES THE PAN AND COLOR DARKENS)
- ½ CUP KHOYA
- PISTA / BADAM FOR GARNISHING.(PISTACHIO/ALMONDS)
DIRECTION
- Soak channa daal for 2 hours.
- Boil it in milk and cook until it gets tender.
- Blend it with hand blender.
- Add clarified butter in a pan and fry cardamom.
- Then add daal mixture and sugar in it.
- Stir continuously on low flame.
- After almost 45 minutes it will start changing the color.
- Cook halwa for more 1 hour.
- When it starts leaving the pan and color becomes dark its ready to serve.
- Dish out the halwa and garnish with dry fruits, khoya and chandi ka waraq.
